Camp Structure and Activities

What is a Day at Lionheart Camp Like?

One thing that sets Lionheart’s camp experience apart is our team’s enthusiasm and expertise for all manner of athletics—including soccer, field hockey, baseball, basketball, gymnastics, water sports, flag football, track and field events, and more. Each day of our camp will offer an array of different games and activities with a focus on that day’s sport. So each week a child will be introduced to 5 different sports !

A day at camp runs from 9 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon; we also offer extended care options for parents who need us to hold on to their child for a bit longer. Early drop-off is also available for those who need it. We offer different, exciting activity blocks each day, broken up by lunch at noon, as well as daily water play to stay cool.

A truly unique component of the Lionheart Sports Camp is our Leadership Program. A part of every day is dedicated to teaching specific leadership methods. We will be teaching the children how to use their words to encourage and inspire their teammates to achieve success in everything that they do. Children will be improving their social skills while in a fun safe and athletic environment.

What is the Lionheart Leadership Program?

Our team believes that sports have the ability to develop leaders who are charismatic, dedicated, and committed to doing their best. This unique Leadership Program will be implemented daily and all players will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the camp.

We have shaped the Leadership Program to help children understand that leadership principles apply to all areas of life. Our team will instruct children on:

  • Tactics for setting and achieving personal and team goals
  • .Group speaking and how to inspire teammates in a positive manner.
  • Learning how to have respect for themselves, their teammates, coaches, parents, and referees.
  • Healthy competitive attitudes and keeping aggressive competitiveness in check.
  • Why it is important to be mentally and physically prepared.
  • The power of words and how they affect teammates.

The goal of Lionheart Leadership Sports Camp is to develop your child on and off the field—to give them the skills to succeed and accomplish all of their goals.

How Are Campers Grouped and Supervised?

We are proud to have a highly-motivated and energetic staff, expertly-trained and eager to have fun with your kids. We also offer a ratio of one adult to every 10 campers. Campers are grouped according to skill level for our athletic events, ensuring nobody is left out, and by age for non-sporting events—which aids with camaraderie and socialization.

We love working with kids in a safe, fun, and leadership-centered environment; we strive to create a daily atmosphere of play, learning, and respect.
